Luděk Marold (1865–1898) belongs among eminent Czech painters. His most famous work is the panorama of the “Battle of Lipany”, which is displayed in Prague. Luděk Marold was not only the author of the artistic design of the building, but he also lived in it until 1898. Honoring his legacy, the 72 m2 large suite with a remarkably realistic oil-on- plaster faux-bois ceiling has been named the “Marold Suite“.
